John Warcaba, Advisor
John Warcaba founded Park Place with partner Dan Grajzl as a computer hardware reseller in 1991. John brings passion, energy and a measured approach to the business. He has a passion for education, and constantly measures his personal and professional success by studying other businesses and business leaders, and their best practices.
After pitching his way through baseball and a dual degree at Kent State University in finance and management, John Warcaba became part of GE’s power systems group, working to audit processes between engineers and finance. While he enjoyed the technology and intricacy involved, he felt the need to further his personal growth and knowledge. He joined a leading computer reseller in their sales division, and quickly learned through doing. John excelled at building relationships, listening and working to help clients solve their business problems. In Dan, he found someone with whom he shared the same sense of commitment to personal and professional success.
Dan Grajzl and John Warcaba founded Park Place together in 1991, and the business quickly grew due to their Service First philosophy and sweat equity. The company’s dedication to its core value of accountability reflects their shared commitment to always doing what they say they will do. While always living up to obligations is sometimes costly, both Dan and John believe that these are some of the most worthwhile investments they have ever made. And as evidenced by their loyalty, Park Place Technologies’ clients agree. The two also own Boardwalk Enterprises Ltd., a commercial real estate company.
John embodies our respectful and cooperative values, constantly listening, learning, and examining decisions. John Warcaba is a methodical thinker who examines and re-examines challenges and is sometimes the much needed decelerator in our 100 mph business, challenging us to view things from a different angle before pushing full speed ahead again.
