Position Description: Park Place International is seeking a highly motivated Senior Field Service Engineer to participate in a highly dynamic, team-orientated environment.
This person will have various duties and responsibilities not limited to: Responding to telephone calls, requests for technical support, and technical escalations. Providing, formulating and communicating complex action plans, email and personnel requests for technical support; and the ability to track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolutions and customer satisfaction.
This person must be able to work with minimum supervision and must be familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures. Perform a variety of functions, multi-task and communicate within a team structure and provide a senior level of problem determination, troubleshooting and escalation skills. This person would also be requested to act as a mentor to less senior support personal and provide expert and professional advice based on knowledge and “real life” situational experiences.
Job Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot and resolve customer technology problems on-site. • Provide remote customer support as required by the situation. • Perform preventative maintenance when required. • Install add-ons and upgrades into the customer’s production environment. • Deliver customer training to allow efficient use of the products covered under service agreement. • Ability to interact with customers while maintaining and growing Park Place International’s vision for customer relationship management. • Deliver consistent high quality customer service. • Act as liaison between the customer and the Park Place management team.
Required Experience and Knowledge: • Minimum 10 years experience with relation to IT or experience working in IT environment. • IBM, HP or EMC experience required • Tape and Disk Storage, SAN experience • Highly motivated, detail oriented and creative • Excellent organizational and customer skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (excellent phone skills are required) • Experience in data processing, computer applications, management information system or call center applications and tools • Ability to work well under pressure • Helpful and proactive manner, with a service orientated attitude • Drives issues to resolution and excellent problem-solving skills • Ability to work with all levels of the organization • Ability to work effectively in a team environment • Act as a senior subject matter expert and technical escalation point person
