Applications Developer/Analyst

Responsibilities/Duties:
The Applications Developer/Analyst will develop custom applications to support the business objectives of Park Place International (PPI), work with managers and employees in functional areas to analyze data and define and implement reporting, and be a key individual in the design, analysis and implementation of ERP software to replace legacy systems.
Applications Development • Design, code, and debug complex applications using multiple languages. • Assist in the development and design of program specifications to provide technical requirements to code programs. • Develop test plans, test cases and test data and implement, track and support unit and system testing to ensure completeness and accurate development of project requirements. • Prepare system and user documentation; interface with other IT groups and customers, both internal and external, to provide requirements, provide support for testing new releases and products, and provide support for problem resolution. • Research and recommend next-generation programming languages and tools; and keep current on all software and hardware products.
Business Intelligence • Responsible for database administration, data consolidation, data analysis and management reporting. • Provides support to research team or management by collecting, analyzing data and reporting results. • Collaborates with various function teams such as marketing, research, IT to achieve business results • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Education and Qualifications • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience • Visual Basic 6.0, VB.NET, SQL Server, ASP.NET, XML • Experience in desktop and web-based application development • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Crystal Reports or similar) • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains, Solomon, Axtapa) or other ERP platform • Microsoft certification preferred • 3 – 5 years experience • Excellent communication skills, solid time management skills • Experience in data processing, computer applications, management information system or call center applications and tools • Ability to work well under pressure • High level of attention to detail • Helpful and proactive manner, with a service orientation. • Drives issues to resolution and good problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
