Park Place International Featured at CA World Conference
April 30, 2013….Mark Luquire, OpSus Cloud Services Manager, presented at last week’s CA World Conference in Las Vegas, NV.
His presentation, “A Case Study: Assuring Mission Critical Cloud-Based Services”, was based on his experience delivering and managing IT services for MEDITECH in the OpSus cloud.
Mark comments, “While cloud-based IT services are evolving, many organizations are hesitant to move to a cloud computing platform due to the perception of losing control of their critical systems. Park Place International is providing cloud-based monitoring solutions -- based on CA Nimsoft Monitor -- to hospitals with on-premise equipment.”
Mark was chosen to speak at CA World because of his crucial role in the successful customization and deployment of CA’s Nimsoft solution as a key feature of Park Place’s Cloud Services. MyOpSus, Park Place’s web-based portal for OpSus Cloud Services customers, provides direct access to resources for requests, incidents, and reporting. Park Place International Participated In Trivia Night Fundraiser
March 21, 2013...Park Place International recently participated in the 11th Annual Brian Higgins Foundation Trivia Night. This 503c non profit organization raises money for special needs children and their families in the greater Boston area. Eighty teams participated in the event, answering questions from categories that included Sports, Music, Entertainment, and History. A great time was had by all. Park Place is pleased to give back to local programs and support these special children.

Park Place International to Exhibit at HIMSS13
January 17, 2013... New Orleans welcomes the 2013 Annual HIMSS Conference and Exhibition, March 3-7, 2013, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. More than 37,000 healthcare industry professionals are expected to attend to discuss health information technology issues and review innovative solutions designed to transform healthcare.

Park Place International Participates in MEDITECH's Adopt A Family Program
December 21, 2012... Park Place International was proud to participate in MEDITECH's annual Adopt A Family program. MEDITECH has been running this program for the past 15 years. This year they collected and delivered gifts, food, and household supplies to 53 needy families.
It was a privilege for the Park Place team to make a small contribution toward a huge effort that makes such a difference in the lives of these families.
Park Place International Introduces the MyOpSus Portal
November 27, 2012....Park Place International is proud to announce the launch of MyOpSus, our web-based customer portal for OpSus Cloud Services customers. Customers are able to view the status of their open requests and tickets for OpSus services, and submit new ones. My OpSus also includes a knowledge base of articles to address frequently asked support questions, built by the OpSus Cloud Services team, and accessible by all MyOpSus users. With a MyOpSus account, customers have access to all tickets opened for their organization. Coming soon, the MyOpSus portal will allow users to view real time infrastructure monitoring information and reports for OpSus services.
MyOpSus is the unique tool Park Place provides customers, enabling access to OpSus Cloud Services, available around the clock from any location. Our customers are also able to access our U.S. based OpSus Support hotline via phone (855-28-OpSus), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Park Place International Signs First Three Customers to OpSus|Live, Cloud-Based Hosting for MEDITECH
PRNEWSWIRE...August 7, 2012...Park Place International announced that three healthcare organizations have signed on to their new cloud-based hosting solution, OpSus|Live.
OpSus|Live is a secure hosting solution for MEDITECH. OpSus|Live incorporates a performance-engineered hybrid private cloud architecture utilizing MEDITECH-certified servers and storage to meet and exceed all best practice standards for configuration and deployment as well as security standards, such as HITECH and HIPAA. The service is operated and managed by Park Place’s team of engineers with extensive experience in MEDITECH and related technologies.
Park Place International recently signed Muenster Memorial Hospital, United Hospital District, and Rothman Specialty Hospital as the first OpSus|Live customers.
Muenster Memorial Hospital’s CEO, Michael Kent, and IT Director, Steve Fowler, looked at Park Place International’s OpSus|Live solution at the recommendation of MEDITECH. Michael Kent commented, “We reviewed our options, and OpSus|Live provided an affordable way to implement and manage our MEDITECH system, and meet disaster recovery requirements. United Hospital District, in Blue Earth, Minnesota, chose OpSus|Live to migrate their existing MEDITECH MAGIC environment to 6.0. July 23, 2012... Park Place International and IBM joined together for an informational webcast on July 19, 2012 to discuss new MEDITECH reference architectures using IBM technologies.
The event was hosted by Michael Hardoin, Director of Storage Sales at IBM. Presenters Ben Smith, Technology Executive & Senior Engineer, IBM and Jim Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President & CTO, Park Place International, explored the changes impacting facilities running the MEDITECH HCIS and discussed the evolution of new technology reference architectures to support the needs of modern Healthcare IT. July 16, 2012... Park Place International has been approved by MEDITECH to provide OpSus|Connect, secure MEDITECH VPN Radius support connectivity. OpSus|Connect is a fully-managed, secure, dedicated connection that enables MEDITECH to deliver support and updates for their products.
The OpSus|Connect service is used to support all MEDITECH software platforms - MAGIC, Client/Server, and 6.x. Using Cisco's Integrated Services Routing and firewall technologies, VPN routers in MEDITECH’s data center utilize AES and 3DES encrypted tunnels, and user authentication to securely connect with customers.
